Was als Forschungsprojekt am FZI begann, ist heute eine etablierte Lösung für die Automobilindustrie: PREEvision als modellbasierte Entwicklungssoftware für Elektrik-/Elektroniksysteme entstand als Werkzeugprototyp in einem Forschungsprojekt mit der Daimler AG und wurde von der daraus entstandenen Forschungsausgründung aquintos GmbH als Produkt weiterentwickelt.
