Founded as an FZI spin-off, the company is now firmly established in the market and makes an important contribution to the energy transition. At the FZI, founder Dr. Birger Becker worked for many years on practical projects related to decentralized energy systems, smart grids, and intelligent building automation. In the process, he realized there is often a gap between research and practice, especially at the intersection of computer science and electrical engineering. After completing his doctorate, Birger Becker decided to close this gap and founded EnQS GmbH.
